Hon. Hoseph Mbah Ndam, SDF parliamentarian for 25 years in the Batibo constituency has died in Yaounde.

His passing away has surprised many as he was very up and active in recent weeks. He participated un crucial meetings in Yaounde these last days and even dared to go on parliamentary electoral busisness in hus Batibo constituency in Batibo, a hot bed for Ambazonia fighters.

However Hon. Mbah Ndam had previously been very sick and even sort treatment in south Africa where he bounced back in good health.
He was oaety chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi’s ;right hand man” as many described his very close relationship with the leader of the party forced started multiparty democracy in Cameroon in 1990.

Many journalist remember Mbah Ndam for his openess and avaiablility for press comments. His colleagues descri e him as efficient, down to earth and witty politician who successfully led the SDF parliamentary group.




Hon. Mbah Ndam was also legal advicer of the main opposition SDF for many years.

He could not achieve his dream of returjuhhnf ti parliament as Amba Boys thwarted his campaigns and efforts attacking his camaign convoy. His home had earlier been burnt down in Batibo. His party has for the first time not been able to constitute a oarliamentary group. And his party chairman has been absent from cameroon and the politocal scene for several months. Perhaos too steessful misfortunes for the man who will be remembered for living a full and positively impacting many other lives.
