The Mayor of Mamfe Council, Ashu Prisley Ojong, has been killed, in an ambush staged by non-state-actors, Mamfe subdivision in Manyu division of the South West Region, our source has confirmed.
Sources in Mamfe, say Ojong Prisley, one of the youngest CPDM Mayor in the country was killed this Sunday May 10, 2020, while heading to his village in Eshobi.
Additional information indicates that Mayor Prisley Ojong, was shot by a stray bullet as he travelled with a battery of soldiers by Ambazonia fighters.
He had received a call that some 7 fighters wanted to drop their weapons in his village and that he should come receive them. He was ambushed on his way to Eshobi.
Ashu Priestly Ojong, was lastly seen on Saturday May 9 , 2020 during an event to donate anti-COVID19 kits to the people of Mamfe.
Ashu Prisley Ojong, 35years old, was elected Mayor of Mamfe on February 25, 2020.
