The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), says the Amba-boys, who claim to be fighting for the liberation of the people, are now a big threat to those same people.
Speaking to The Voice, Tuesday October 23, 2018, during his first appearance to his burnt Baba II residence in Santa-Subdivision by alleged Amba-boys, the SDF Chieftain, accused some highly placed Ministers for forming their own gang, that are now going around harassing the population.
“What I want to clarify is that armed robbers have infiltrated the ranks of the Ambazonian course. It’s unfortunate that some highly placed Ministers, have formed their own gang, who are now going around harassing the population”, he said.
Lamenting that the razed residence, made up of five rooms constructed to the tune of almost 120million CFAF, was a legacy kept for him by his late wife, Rose Ndi.
According to Ni John Fru Ndi, the Anglophone problem is very dear to his heart but to sit and see children breaking into people’s homes, stealing and harassing people to do things, is what he can’t understand.
When I went through my house, I noticed that the ash I saw in my inner parlor, where I had quite a good number of the things, did not reflect the things I had there. Further investigation disclosed that the boys came, carried my things using three pick-up vehicles and after sweeping all my property in the house, they throw fuel in and out of the house and set the entire building on fire”, Fru Ndi told The Voice.
While calling on the Ambazonian leaders, to sit down and be re-oriented on what they are fighting for, the leader of the main opposition party, added that they can’t be fighting to restore rights of anglophones and at the same time the very anglophones are suffering from their activities.
The SDF National Chairman, made it crystal clear that he is on the side of Ambazonians and his number has no restrictions, reasons why they are accusing him of supporting the Amba-boys.
“It’s an issue for anglophones to sit down and look very well into the Anglophone problem, otherwise, the way I see things now, I see the country going to a deeper problem if we don’t take time and resolve it clearly, it wouldn’t be better for us in this country”, he reiterated.
Fru Ndi, went ahead to disclose to The Voice, that two-years ago, he advised MrBiya, that he should come himself and resolve this problem, since his prime minister has failed after he came to the Northwest and couldn’t resolve the problem, raised by teachers and lawyers.
A neighbor who pleaded not to be named, recounted to The Voice, that the “alleged Amba-boys” headed by a certain guy named “General Die man”, looted most of the properties before setting ablaze Ni John Ndi’s residence.
The eyewitness added that the people of Baba II, for the past two-months, have been living in total fear, due to the threats being posed by the alleged Ambazonia Fighters.
According to him, these unidentified gangsters, after harassing and terrorizing, the commoners of their freedom, have been stealing their cows and goats as food for the past two-months.
