Arts and Culture Minister, Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mkpwatt recently at the conference hall of his ministry in Yaounde received in audience Nchang Benice Che who represented the country in an international conference that recently took place in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku.

The conference which was aimed at synthetizing and drilling participants on the need to valorize the national patrimony of a country as well as its archives, which grouped over 190 nations across the world, was an opportunity to call on the country’s representatives to put in place measures to see how their respective national archives are well-kept and handled as it is another way to promote the culture of the country

Nchang Benice who hails from Bafut in North West region was selected several times to represent Cameroon in different international conferences in countries like China, Burkina Faso aimed at putting to the lamplight the particularities (culture) of the different countries. She currently has at hand, a project that seeks to restore the museum in Bafut that seems to have been abandoned for quite a long time now and bring back on stage the unique culture of the Bafut people.

Minister Bidoung Kpwatt congratulated her in a special style for all her exploits and pledged the total support of the Ministry in whatever way she might need it. He used the opportunity to call on the youths to follow the example of young Benice to make Cameroon the Africa in Miniature which is a nursing ground for all the diverse cultures the country possess.

It should be noted that Nchang has won so many international awards and have had series of appointments such as coordinator of the 3rd International Circle Organization. She also seeks to empower young Cameroonians to help promote the rich cultural diversity of the country.
