PM Sets Up Campaigners for Special Status

The coming days will witness several caravans heading into towns and villages in the English-Speaking North-West Region. Set up by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute, their mission is “to sensitize and keep the dynamism of the major national dialogue and engage a peace campaign to the population of the north west region”.

A communique by the PM’s chief of cabinet, Balungeli C. Ebune, transmits the names caravan members who include also states that the caravan will “engage a peace campaign to the populations of the seven divisions of the north west Region. The regional launching of the campaign begins on 16 November.

The campaign will likely sail smoothly in some communities where peace has returned. Yet, this latest move will be very daring as for the caravan as insecurity is still signaling through the sounds of war in most communities.
