Minister Atanga Nji Raps Around Elections

But What Is He Saying?

“…During this process political parties have to be responsible because we have political rallies; we have meetings and we have other activities.

We are urging the political parties to be responsible. That is why I tell them that the local administrative authorities will have to appreciate and say if we can have public manifestation (meetings/rallies) or not because before you hold any rallies, one thing is certain; the administrative Authorities have to be sure that the environment is conducive and that the political leaders can control his militant and sympathizers. Those are fundamentals.

As much as we have to accompany ELECAM, as much as we have to accompany the political actors. As much as we are in for free and fair elections, we want the political leaders to help us so that things may go on normally.

We have to educate our militants and tell them what is at stake. That after the elections the nation will continue so we cannot during an electoral process behave as if we are in a lawless state.”
