Govt. Cancels Paul Biya Stadium Construction Contract

The Construction of the Olembe stadium or Stade Paul Biya in yaounde by the Italian Company Piccini is now history. The construction works had been out in hold for over a year.

Piccini had failed to deliver the project despite the assistance and pressure from the State to respect the dateline. The company even benefitted several extensions of the time limits.

Meanwhile, the government has now awarded the contract to a Canadian company called Magill to complete the construction of the Olembe sports complex.

Cameroon was stripped of her AFCON hosting rights back in 2018 for failing to make significant progress in completing the infrastructure.
