Bloody Birth Day Celebration for Singer Jovi

A group of music lovers in Bamenda have celebrated the birth day of their icon, Jovi, in a rather “bloody” innovative fashion.

The young Jovi Fans who go by the name Mboko Gang trooped into the Bamenda Regional Hospital to freely donate their own blood to the hospital’s blood bank. The October 24 exercise dubbed “Give Back to Society” is an exemplary effort to save lives and encourage society to offer what could be a most precious gift to mankind.

Dressed in black T Shirts, the group captured their outing on video which can now be viewed on YouTube channel. See link of the GPmEDIA video below.

A cheerful blood bank staff at the hospital, Ako Atabon Fidelis, thanked the blood donors for their precious gift that will save lives of the poor and the rich. “Donating blood is donating life. Women who undergo delivery and are suffering from post-partum hemorrhage will have blood to replenish in their system. People undergoing hemodialysis twice a week need at least two units of blood” he said. T illustrate the point further, Fidelis Ako said “even millionaires also need blood when the hour comes.

No amount of money can be worth the value of a pine of blood. So, if you give them blood, you will extend their lives and also extend their money”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Mboko Gang also visited the hemodialysis centre before and donated some money to assist the patients.
