An expert at the Fako Heart Centre in Buea has hinted that heart attack is one of the possible killers of men who die abruptly as the indifatgable mayor of Buea, Patrick Ekema Esunge this morning in Douala.
“Heart attack, if we don’t identify it, it kills immediately” he said. “I will suggest we do more to train the public and medics how to handle this condition”
Against a backdrop of wild allegations that Mayor Ekema died from poisoning, the heart expert said “I immediately down played the issue of poison on Fako Forums”.
Hear him:
“Firstly, 90% of all heart attacks occur during the first or early hours of the day. Deep at night when the circulatory rhythm starts to switch from resting to active position hence demanding more oxygen consumption.”
Secondly,
“His job was very stressful. On top of that he appeared to be over weight.”
Nevetheless, the family of the late mayor has not yet commented on the death or the precise cause of death.
