Foetus Trafficking Network Dismantled in Yaounde-Cameroon

A 5th year medical student has been accused of generating huge sums of money from illegal abortion and sale of foetus in the Obili neighbours in Yaoundé. It is alleged he would have been caught by the driver he recruited to work for him.

Without knowing what was happening, the hired a Journalist who is also a Human Rights defender, Polycarpe Atangana.

Investigation with a respondent allowed him to learn that more than 20 women died during these illegal practices.




“During our conversations, I asked him whether he had not yet had an inconvenience while practicing. He told me that there are more than 20 women who have lost their lives, ”says the investigator.

Polycarpe Atangana has collected several audio conversations, one of which the student asks one of his clients if she is sure of her choice. The human rights defender has also listed the drugs used in the abortion process and much other evidence. Then, he made them available to the judicial police who are currently investigating to find out more.
